Museum Exhibits - Permanent and Traveling

web-header-image_9

It starts with the story...

You have a story to tell. A story of history, families, individuals, community.

How you tell that story is just as important as the story itself.  A story with well written text and interesting graphics that draw the reader in, engages them, will make them want to learn more.

At BT&D we understand how important the story is.  That is why when we design exhibits, we make sure the story flows in a clear, concise manner and the graphics complement and enhance that story.

From small displays to walk-through traveling exhibits, we have the expertise to make your exhibit a success.

Traveling Museum Exhibits

What looks like a permanent museum exhibit is deceiving.

Would you believe the exhibits shown can break down and be stored or shipped in 2' x 3' wheeled cases that can easily be handled by one person?

And it can be easily conformed to fit the location where it will be setup.

That is one of the unique features of our traveling museum exhibit system.  It can be configured to fit in different spaces such as: lobbies, libraries, community colleges or other museums.  You can also just use sections of the exhibit.

The exhibit does not have to be large.  "The Jewish Experience in Elgin" was 20' x 20' and this one is 10' x 25'.  The "Deep Roots – Green Future: City Planning in Elgin" exhibit fit a 10' x 10' space.

Benefits of Traveling Exhibit System:

  • Lightweight- easy to move
  • Does not require carpenters or specialized trades people to setup.
  • Can be used over and over again for different exhibits just by changing the graphic panels.
  • Can be configured to fit different spaces.
  • Can be as small or large as you need.
  • Can be made into many unique configurations.
  • Gets your story out into the community and gets recognition for your museum.
  • Helps develop a sense of community.
  • Great for smaller museums working on a budget.

Deep Roots - Green Future: City Planning in Elgin.

This 10' Exhibit chronicles the history of City Planning in Elgin from the first plan drawn up by Daniel Burnham's partner Edward Bennett to the current plan for sustainability.  Designed in conjuction with the Burnham 100 celebration in Chicago.

Includes self running video interviews, display case in front and bench for patrons to sit while reading the exhibit.

The Museum has used BT&D Graphics for the past nine years for major exhibits and  signage in the Museum lobby.

Bryan and Theresa are always helpful and creative! They suggest new graphic technologies, like the cling material that has worked wonders on the walls of the Museum, and help solve graphic challenges.

We always need oversize graphics and BT&D has no problem producing gigantic graphics that can be applied onto a variety of substrates. Their work is professional and perfect with no rough edges or crooked cuts, and the cost is reasonable.
